ps - my advisor has been telling me for ages to not take pictures of art on walls.
So I took pictures of people looking at art.
Ha.

saw some tulips, stalked some people

Do I need to remind you that the Netherlands is famous for its tulips? On the western coast, the tulips grow in abundance because the soil suits them perfectly. Fields and fields of them blossom, supplying a surprisingly high-demand market. That probably wouldn’t surprise me if I knew more about flowers than how to kill them. (I haven’t quite mastered gardening.) So, despite my green thumb inadequacies, I recognized the necessity of experiencing a Dutch trademark and set off to the Keukenhof gardens.

Incidentally, I found the visitors much more interesting. If you were hoping for more pictures of the flowers, you can stalk my classmate, Susana, via Facebook.

I'm still in Paris; you'll see proof on this blog soon enough.
I promise.

berlin was the best - here's some proof // april 2-7

Everything about this city made me happy.
I'm contemplating going back during the summer. We'll see!

If you want to read/see more about why I loved Berlin, do it here
And if you're curious about the food that I consumed,
you can find that here (after the Brussels list.)

I leave for three weeks of travel on Sunday! Eek, so excited.
Stay tuned, lovely readers.

liege, belgium // part two

Part two of my adventure in Liege:

Boullet et frites // Meatball and fries

Kam and I snagged an afternoon bear

Somebody decided to tag Jesus' head.

A good reminder - "laugh and live!"

 The river at dusk

A beautifully converted aquatic center housing a part of the BIP photography exhibition.

The Last Supper - Raoef Mamedov

Last beer in Liege

Less than three weeks before my May adventure. Starting to freak out a bit.

liege, belgium // part one

After Brussels, I spent two days in Liege.
Made a friend and explored the city with him.
Here's the first half of the batch.

Liege's new train station resembles a whale sitting in the skyline.
Here's a view of the inside.

Sure, let's climb ten thousand steps.

Huffing and puffing, we sat at the top of our mountain and admired the view.

 Mountain-top community garden
 Cathedrals offer rainbows

And bell towers to sneakily climb.
"Come on, we'll play the tourist trick to avoid any trouble."
"Alright, I'll follow you." ...up ten thousand more steps.

Belgium is known for it's waffles, but the Liege style is by far the best.
With sugar chunks in the batter, this dense, sweet treat
hit the spot so well, I got another the next day.

Apologies for the belated posts, dear readers.
Doin' my best to catch you all up before May begins.
Three weeks of non-stop travel awaits me.
